Sports Tech Academic Day
Hosted by Deakin University
Sports Tech Academic Day will provide an insight into the latest research and academic projects being undertaken across APAC, and how they are impacting the Sports Tech industry. This event is open to all universities and industry attendees, and is designed to showcase current research and projects nearing or entering commercialisation. If you are interested in showcasing your academic research or project, you can apply to present your work.

Behind the Science of a Bat Fitting
Presented by Cricket Performance Lab
Step inside the Cricket Performance Lab – Behind the Science of a Bat Fitting for an exclusive, real-time look at how world-first technology is transforming cricket. Attendees will witness a live bat fitting and swing analysis, where CPL’s biomechanical tracking and cricket intelligence reveal how bat design and swing dynamics influence performance. Led by Shannon Young and the CPL team, this intimate workshop offers a rare behind-the-scenes view into the future of cricket technology and player development.

Leveraging Intelligent Tech to Inform Performance, Injury Risk, and Return-to-Play Readiness
Presented by RMIT
The workshop will include two parts. Part 1. Presentation + QA on the development of assessment framework and cloud interface repository AI platform to inform surgeons on ACL graft choice surgery and return to play decisions. Part 2. Hands-on practicum on "Smartphone and cloud technology with artificial intelligence to identify movement instability in athletes". Participants will explore how balance can be quantified remotely using their smartphone.
